Power Augmentation with Air Injection

Air Injection (AI) technology is the most cost effective power augmentation option. It allows combustion turbines/combine cycle power plants to operate at maximum power regardless of ambient temperature or elevation.

AI power augmentation technology can be installed for power aumentation of either existing or new gas turbine or combined-cycle power plants.

AI uses off-the-shelf, standard auxiliary compressors for the injection of compressed air (dry or humidified) upstream of combustors, thereby compensating for reduced airflow in combustion turbine/combined cycle power plants.

AI technology is delivered at a fraction of specific costs typical of combustion turbine or combined cycle power plants and is a reliable and proven technology.

AI is an evolution of the steam injection power augmentation technology which has been well accepted by most OEMs and achieves signficant improvement in performance and operational characteristics.
